And every day, when I leave the house, I put in my pocket a letter from my girlfriend, which I printed out on paper. This is a small note that she wrote to me on the day we met, “you will always be my home." Sometimes I take it out when it's especially hard and read it.
The paper may be old and worn, but her words always remind me that I am not alone.
