Birthday surprise...
I was planning a surprise for my friend's birthday by hiding behind a sofa with balloons and confetti. When I heard footsteps and thought it was my friend, I jumped out shouting Surprise! but I immediately realized that it wasn't my friend. The supposed birthday guest was delayed, and I had to awkwardly explain the situation to a very surprised pizza delivery driver.
