Love in Heaven
I have always believed that love is something special, something that cannot be explained in words. The story I want to tell began one winter night when I was sitting on the couch with a cup of hot tea. I looked out the window, watching the snow fall from the sky, and I remembered my first love.
It was a girl named Kate. We met at school. She was quiet, but always smiling, and I immediately fell in love with her smile. We became friends, and every day I felt my heart beat faster when I was next to her. We walked together, laughed together, shared secrets. It was incredible.
But, as it often happens, life made its adjustments. Kate moved to another city, and we lost touch. I could not forget her. Every year on the day we first met, I thought about her, how she laughed, how her eyes lit up when she was happy.
One day, many years later, I decided to go to the city where she lived. I hoped that I would be able to find her, at least see her. I wandered through the streets until I came across a small park where we used to walk. My heart beat faster when I saw a girl sitting there. She looked like Kate.
I got closer and suddenly stopped. It was her! I couldn’t believe my eyes. I went up to her and said, “Kate?” She looked up and smiled when she saw me. “You? It’s you!” she exclaimed.
We hugged, and at that moment I realized that my feelings for her had not disappeared. We started talking, and I found out that she had returned to the city. We reminisced about old times, laughed, and talked about our lives. I felt like I was falling in love with her again, and it felt like time had stopped.
From that day on, we started dating. Every walk, every conversation was a real happiness for me. I felt like I had found the part of myself that I had lost again. We walked together in the same park where it all began, and I remembered all those moments when we were young and carefree.
But one day, as we were sitting on a bench, she said something to me that changed everything. “I love you very much, but…” she began. I felt my heart stop. She told me that her family was planning to move to another country. I couldn’t believe that I was losing her again.
We spent several incredible days together, trying to enjoy every moment. I tried to convince her to stay, but I understood that it was beyond my power. At the end of the week, she left, and I was left with an emptiness in my heart.
Time passed, but I never forgot about Kate. I continued to live, work, meet friends, but thoughts of her were always with me. I believed that somewhere in heaven she also thinks of me.
Once, sitting in the same place where we first met after years of separation, I raised my head to the sky and whispered: “Kate, I still love you.” At that moment, a star rose, and I felt that she heard me.
Since then, I began to believe that true love never disappears. It may be far away, but in our hearts it always remains. I know that despite the distance, our love lives on. And one day, perhaps, our paths will cross again.
This story is a reminder that love exists in heaven, and even if we are far from each other, it will always be with us.
