Friends write me messages and are offended that I do not answer their messages for a long time, although I am constantly on the site. They wrote to me that I was glowing "online" all night, although I closed the site and just slept. In order for the "online" status not to glow, you need to completely exit the site by clicking "Exit", but then you do not receive notifications about messages from friends.
