So, here’s the story. I was having dinner with my best friend Jess. We’ve known each other for years, and people always assumed we were a couple, even though we weren’t. That night, we were at this fancy restaurant, and out of nowhere, the waiter comes up and says, Would you like me to bring champagne for your proposal? We both laughed. I said, Yeah, sure, bring the champagne! Next thing I know, the entire staff is clapping, the waiter brings out a cake with She said yes! written on it, and everyone’s looking at us. Jess, being Jess, decided to play along. She took my hand, smiled, and said loudly, Of course, I’ll marry you! The whole restaurant cheered. I was in shock. Afterwards, she whispered, You owe me big time. Now, every time we go out, people ask how the wedding planning is going. And you know what? We’re still not dating.
Life’s weird, right?
